It's a new wireless-N router and I cannot get my ipod touch to stay connected to it. It will stay connected for a minute or two and then drop out, or it won't connect at all, or it says the password is incorrect (I get this a lot; it's not).
Sometimes a minute or two later it will come back, sometimes not. I've tried changing the modes to all the different ones (G only, N, only, mixed, you name it) and that doesn't seem to help. Encryption is set to auto (WPA or WPA2).
I also cannot get other laptops around the house connected to it. Our household cordless phones are brand new and I doubt those are interfering. Neighbor right next door (20ft away?) has Linksys wireless-G router (the new black antenna-less one) and she uses WEP. Hers is the only network I can connect to successfully with ipods and laptops. Actually out of five wireless devices there is ONE I can connect to my network, and that is my Del Vostro laptop, which is only 6 months old, and I have no idea why it works on that and nothing else. The other four devices and anything visitors might bring-forget it.
Help, this is driving me NUTS. OS is XP Pro and router is D-link DIR-615. Well, the age of the phone is not the issue. It's the frequency. The wireless access point is using 2.4GHZ. What frequency is the phone using? It should be in tiny print on the label.

Just put the handset in the refrigerator (Sounds silly, but this will keep it from interfering just for a test) and unplug the telephone base unit power supply and see if your problem goes away. If it's not the phone, try changing the channel on the router. You should stick with 1, 6, or 12. Everything else will automatically detect the channel change.
