Rise Of Nations Gold Edition Patch 3.2

Posted on

I've learnt it the hard way. My original T&P disc which was bought in 2004 has been broekn!? And local retailers refused to give me replacement. Local Microsoft also said they have nothing to do with that because the retailers sourced their games from other distributors. As luck could have it I thought, bought a Gold Edition which is published by UBISOFT. For a look of the cover case, see this link -.

  1. Rise Of Nations Gold Patch

The development team is currently testing a patch to. If your Rise of Nations: Extended Edition client. Rise of Nations already had a framework for mods.

I have got exactly the same problem as you folks do. I spent almost a day to find out the causes. What it does it as follows. After installing Rise of Nation vanilla from the disc, you then proceed to install T&P. The trick is this part of the installation.

When all is done, T7P is patched with 1.3 patch. That gives you 03. It will not give you 07.5.

If you explore what contained in the disc you will find two main folders - 1. RON and the other one is RONX. In RONX, you have a folder called patch. In the 'non-Gold' version of RONX, there are fewer things inside the patch folder but in the Gold version there is this 1.3 patch with a patcher.exe file which does it patching.

To get to the 07.5, you have to exclude the installation of this patch. You have to do quite a bit of work though. You need to install a virtual disc software. For your reference I use Magic Disc. If you do a google search you can easily find it, for those who are not familiar I've done it for you -. When you are done, you also need to use Nero Burner to create an.ISO file of the RONX folder. Becareful, when you do, DO NOT include the patch folder inside the RONX folder.

Name your.ISO file as RONX.iso. Now you will use MagicDisc to mount the.iso image file as E drive or whatever drive letter is available.

Start the installation, it will complain there is not patcher.exe that is what we want, so ignore this error message. The installation will proceed by itself after you've ignored the message. When you are done, you connect to the internet and proceed to Multiplayer as you normally do. Once it enters that screen it will now ask you if you want to download the 07.5 patch.

After the download is done, the game restarts but this time it will ask you for the Thrones and Patriot Disc. It is because the 1.3 patch is a No CD Crack which sucks.

The Gold Edition disc is not recognised so probably you need to buy the original T&P 'non-Gold' version. I managed to find it yesterday. It is in box package not the CD case package as my original copy is. Please see the below link for the box cover - You must be very carefule because I've found out that different retailers (including online) sell different version. This version I have bought specifically comes with a Certificate of Authenticity just like the original CD-Case version.

Also it says 'Made in USA (PUERTO RICO) FOR DISTRIBUTION IN USA/CANADA ONLY'. For the UBISOFT Gold Verion it has nothing of the sort not even said where it is manufactured!! The package comes with the T&P manual and the Game Disc in a paper CD bag. You will have to have this isc in order to get the patch 07.5 going because that patch is a CD required patch.

When you are done with the download, you can find it residing in the RoN home flder, save it to a CD so that it can be reused for re-instalation in the future! Hope this information helps and doesn't come in too late!! Sounds like the likely cause is the NOCD patch one player is running. Posted 11-20-05 08:26 AM EDT (US) 1 / 2 War's Profile Edit This Message This is just a bit of legacy from when BHG made a comlete arse of the last patch and killed RoN. Eventually they had a fix for it, so they put it out right?

Wrong, they pissed the whole community around with this beta patch, you had half the people playing on one version, the official but faulty patch, and you had the rest on the unofficiall, try at your own risk, beta patch. Eventualy (and I do mean eventually) they decided that the beta patch wasn't going to destroy the world and they would release it.

Overnight all the problems went away and the crass stupidity that was BHG/Microsoft patching policy ceased to be wrecking the community. That was then, this is now.

Just log into gamespy with a standard version of T&P (no messing with the above procedure at all, forget that, this was the beta crap) and ust get the latest patch. And the version confusion? This was the critical bug that was ruining the game, BHG made a mess of the version control in the game so it was possible to patch your T&P then but a cracked exe on from a differnt version and play. This caused most games to go out of sync.

There are several version numbers in RoN. Thrones.exe=1.14.5.600 Patriots.exe=3.2.11.2200 In-game About dialog reporst=03. In-Game multi-player create=03. In-Game join message for host and players=07.5 If you are getting any problems with the game telling you that you have the wrong version then either you or another player is attempting to play with tthe nocd crack from the previous patch. Don't play from gamespy arcade, it doesn't check version when logging in, always play from inside RoN-multiplayer menu. Thanks a lot RONFREAK I've been struggling with the Ubisoft version of the game After installing Rise of Nation vanilla from the disc, you then proceed to install T&P. Then it asked for a disc and I followed my own instructions for clearing that hurdle ubisoft and microsoft can go to hell for this kind of support This message has been edited by TheBiz (edited @ 00:49 AM).
